  • I am leading the Product Unit AIS DE G2, responsible for the Physician Information Systems CGM ALBIS, CGM DATA VITAL, CGM M1, CGM MEDISTAR and CGM TURBOMED plus the archiving solutions CGM MOVIESTAR and CGM PRAXISARCHIV.

Vice President Product Architecture (Feb – Aug 2024)

  • I lead a team of Product Managers, Product Owners and Business Analysts in the Product House AIS DE team. We are responsible for the Physician Information Systems of CGM for the German market.

2023-2024: Ecovium

Director Research & Development

  • Leading the Customs Development team of ecovium. In my short time at ecovium, I introduced the OKR method to my team and planned the first quarter. I furthermore acted as PO for the Sanctions Check team, defined flows and refined the backlog so that the team could implement a first E2E flow of an improved sanctions check implementation.
  • The reason I separated from ecovium shortly after starting was that I received an offer in an industry I had dreamt of working in for a long time.

2017-2023: Avira (part of Gen)

2020-2023: Director Product & Engineering – Windows Consumer Suites

  • Successfully led the Product Unit “Windows Consumer Suites for Avira Products,” driving the strategic direction and achieving outstanding results.
  • Managed 50 million € of revenue by overseeing the migration of tens of millions of users to a new integrated client. Resulted in improved protection, superior user experience, and significant increases in revenue per user and customer lifetime value.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end responsibility for product management, design, user experience, development, testing, operation, and global market success of Avira’s top-rated and highly awarded Windows portfolio.
    Effectively managed a cross-functional team of 2 product managers, 3 product designers, 2 user experience designers, 4 development managers, and 25 developers located in Tettnang, Bucharest, India, and the USA.
  • Delivered exceptional results by fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and ensuring seamless execution across geographically dispersed teams.

2017-2020: Director Product & Engineering – Identity Protection

  • Led the Product Unit “Identity Protection,” overseeing strategic direction and achieving significant milestones.
  • Developed Avira Password Manager from a basic product to a competitive and highly-rated solution, resulting in substantial user growth (active users sextupled from 2017 to 2020).
  • Assumed end-to-end responsibility for product management, design, user experience, development, operation, and global market and customer success of Avira’s Identity Protection Portfolio, with a primary focus on Avira Password Manager.
  • Managed a cross-functional team, including a product manager, product designer, user experience designer, data analyst, development manager, and 10 developers located in Tettnang and Bucharest.

2000-2017: SAP

2014-2017: PO SAP Advanced Track and Trace for Pharmaceuticals

  • Product Owner of SAP Advanced Track and Trace for Pharmaceuticals, SAP’s new solution that helps companies to comply with global serialization directives to fight falsified medicines.
  • Responsible for product definition, customer co-innovation, backlog and specification, solution testing, Go To Market, presales, customer support and partner enablement.
  • The initial version of SAP Advanced Track and Trace was developed as a greenfield solution between January 2014 and September 2015 as an agile development project in scrum mode. The development and go to market was an extraordinary team effort. The team managed to deliver and market a viable and market ready solution in cooperation with 13 co-innovation customers and under very high time pressure.
  • The solution was the most successful product launch ever within the small but fine product portfolio of SAP Custom Development and amongst the top three selling products of the Custom Development Portfolio in 2015 and 2016.

2012-2013: Solution Architect for PLM and Manufacturing at SAP Custom Development

  • Qualified and evaluated custom development project leads
    and opportunities in the area of manufacturing and PLM.
  • Determined customer requirements and created rough and
    detailed specifications, including effort estimates.
  • Additionally, created non binding and binding offers based
    on the specifications.

2009-2012: Release Management SAP Business By Design

  • Member of the Business By Design Release Management
    Team. Set up and executed several development programs
    in the range of 650 1200 heads.
  • Successfully implemented lean principles and agile
    development practices in the organization. Highlight: first
    release ever was delivered “in time” and “in quality”.

2005-2008: Project Manager SAP Business By Design SCM development

  • Led an international and distributed software development
    team for Business By Design solution “Manufacturing
    Execution” at locations Walldorf and Bangalore.

  • Software development, product maintenance and customer
    support in the area of Manufacturing and Logistics.

1997-2000: Fischerwerke

  • Project lead: setting up metal production department in production plant in Brazil
  • Project lead: implementation of production planning and execution software in production plant in Denzlingen
  • Project work: implementation of SAP R/3 CO in German subsidiaries
  • Material planner / production planner for finished products manufactured in Czech subsidiary
  • Coordinator and contact person for South American subsidiaries

Interests

I like outdoor activities and sports such as running, biking and hiking. 

Besides, I love to spend time with my family.
